Face: Fabulous and Flawless, oh yah!
Okay, so I will start my first actual makeup post with the face. Some people are born with fab skin, but some of us gotta work hard to put our best face forward. It’s really important to clean and moisturize your skin twice a day. I have a very acne prone skin, and I feel that using a toner in between cleanser and moisturizer is necessary to minimize my acne. An eye cream is also good if you have some extra money on hand. I use a lighter eye cream for daytime and a creamier one at night.
I had to do a lot of experimentation to find the perfect foundation shade for me. I like to use liquid foundation in the winter such that my skin does not dry out. During the summer, I use a sunscreen and mineral powder to keep it light. I also use a cream concealer under my dark circles and liquid concealer on acne spots.
When I am looking for the real flawless skin, I put a primer under my foundation which helps to hide pores and makes the foundation application smooth. I layer my foundation for full coverage on special occasions. I have a chubby face and I find highlighting and contouring my face makes it looks slimmer. A little bit of blush goes a long way for me most of the time. I guess I covered the basics of makeup, but don’t forget that diet has a lot to do with good skin. A healthy diet and exercise doesn’t only make you healthy and fit, but also makes your skin glow and makes hair shine.
